From the boat she stepped forward, never looking back. The Holy Spirit was present and also those that looked on from the boat. She felt the urge and her body felt light. The Holy Spirit whispered, “Move. Move as instructed Beloved. Move Beloved Woman. Move out of the boat.” Her spirit recognized her Father’s call. Her physical body was no longer in control. The Spirit led and she wanted all God had to give. She could not resist that which was calling her to the other side into the spiritual realm. It was amazing. It was breathtaking. It was even more beautiful than before. She felt so blessed to be the receiver of this holy invitation. She stepped out of the boat. She entered into His will and life was forever changed. The angels in heaven sang as she completely surrendered to His way. There was a feeling of calmness in the water. The waves were gentle and welcomed her. It was as if they awaited her presence. She felt unimaginable peace and love that man alone could never have the ability to give. The closer she moved forward, the more she felt at home. Her sense of peace became stronger. Spirit met spirit. She weeped because she wished she had moved completely out of the boat sooner. She weeped for the onlookers in the boat. Once a woman named Rebecca told her that God gave her the gift of bearing other people’s burdens. “You are the burden bearer, sister! You bear the burdens of others.” As those words flowed from her ear to her heart that day, a deep moaning filled her womb up. The wailing and pressed down deepness of the sound heard was all the burdens she already bore, including her own. They had taken root in her body. Her moaning that day was the cleansing and confirmation that she needed to continue this work. It was her cry to God to resolve the burdens in Jesus’ name and strengthen her again.

Rebecca told her what she always knew. She always knew that her spirit would turn back when others might have turned away. Her spirit always craved to turn back. That was also the part of her that wanted to turn back for the others still in the boat. She wanted them to experience all that God had for them too. She wanted them to experience God's hope. The water stood still for days and so did she. She prayed and listened. She thanked God and talked to Him. There were more burdens to bear. Rachel Mapp painting by JoDee Luna "The Burden Bearer"
